POSTPONED - Hike Iller Creek to Big Rock

Iller Creek/Big Rock Hike

Postponed due to trail conditions.

We have postponed this relatively long hike through the shady Iller Creek drainage because the trails are icy, muddy and flooded. 

When we reschedule Jeff Lambert Executive Director will lead the hike up the Iller Creek loop in the Dishman Hills. This hike will be approximately 5.5 miles with 1500 feet of elevation gain. We will aim to hike at a moderate  pace while stopping to enjoy the lookouts along the way. This hike includes very distinct ecological environments and lots of fabulous views both south to Steptoe Butte and the Spokane Valley north to Mt. Spokane. 

We will meet at the Redeemer Lutheran Church on the west side of the parking lot (by the wall) at 8:45 and then carpool to the trailhead as parking at Iller Creek is limited. 

Don't forget to wear good hiking shoes and dress for the weather, as well as pack a lunch/snack and water.
