Hike to Big Rock & Rocks of Sharon from Stevens Creek Rd.

This hike goes to the fabulous Rocks of Sharon, featuring Big Rock. After a short walk along the Stevens Creek, we climb to the ridge with great views over the Palouse. Meet at the the Stevens Creek Trailhead at 9 am on Sunday. Hike is moderate-3 miles round trip and about of total 900' elevation gain. Pace is slow to moderate. There will be nature and conservation information stops.

Dogs are allowed on leash. No parking pass such as Discover Pass is required.

Please bring clothing for the weather. Wear shoes suitable for uneven trails. Bring water and a snack.

Event is free, but registration is requested.

Directions to Trail Head: The best way to find the trailhead is to enter the address (9102 S Stevens Creek Road, Spokane, WA) in your mapping or navigation system. 

The directions through the Spokane Valley: Take exit 289 from I-90 and follow SR-27 7.9 miles south to the Palouse Highway, turn right and follow the 4.9 miles to Stevens Creek Road. Turn right on Stevens Creek Road and follow 2.4 miles to the new parking area. Be sure to stay right on Stevens Creek Road at the fork with Sharon Road on the left.

The directions through the South Hill: Take the Freya St exit #283B and proceed south on Thor Street for 2.2 miles. Thor Street becomes Ray St. Turn left on 37th Ave and drive 0.2 miles. Turn right onto Freya Street and drive 1 mile to Palouse Highway. Turn left on Palouse Highway and go 5.9 miles. Turn left on Stevens Creek Road and go 1.8 miles to the Trailhead parking area.
