Nature Walk to Big Rock & Rocks of Sharon from Stevens Creek Rd.

This nature walk will provide a brief introduction to the geography and ecosystems of the Dishman Hills. After a short walk along the Stevens Creek, we will see views over the Palouse. Meet at the the Stevens Creek Trailhead at 9 am. Hike is moderately difficult on steep trails but with a relaxed pace just under 3 miles round trip, 600' elevation gain. The nature walk will take 2.0 to 2.5 hours depending on the group.

The route will go through private property that could easily be developed and ruin the experience. The DHC is trying to buy the property to preserve the access.

Bring water and a snack. Please bring appropriate clothing for rain and wind. The nature walk will be canceled if the weather is bad - light rain is okay. Hiking shoes are recommended for uneven trails.
