Phillips Creek Trailhead Public Meeting

This meeting is part of the County's process to design and build a new Phillips Creek Trailhead and trails on the Flying L Ranch property in the Ponderosa Neighborhood and on adjoining conservation land.The Flying L Ranch was nominated to Conservation Futures by the DHC and was acquired early in 2018. DHC has spent more than $700,000 on conservation property that will be accessible via the Phillips Creek Trailhead - and we want to make sure the design protects the neighbors and wildlife habitat. 

The doors will open at 4:45 pm. We encourage you to go to have input on the trailhead and trails that we will be using for many years. The agenda follows:

I)                           4:45 PM – 6:00 PM – Open House / Welcome

  • Spokane County Parks staff will be on hand to answer questions and record comments. Several informational / design posters will be available for viewing.

II)                      6:00 PM – 6:30 PM Staff Presentation

  • Staff will provide information on the project’s background, design factors considered, alternatives examined and the “preferred alternative” concept. A conceptual trail plan will also be presented.

III)                 6:30 PM – 7:00 PM – Question & Answer

  • The public is encouraged to ask questions and provide comments.
