Mission

Our mission is to conserve the lands within the Dishman Hills, Dishman Ridge and Tower Mountain areas. We work towards this goal by collaboration with private land owners, other organizations and government entities with a similar vision. We steward these lands using high standards of land trust management and we advocate for their value as a natural and educational resource.

Background

Founded in 1966, The Dishman Hills Conservancy (DHC) is one of Washington State's oldest Land Trusts. We advocate for the permanent protection of the natural lands in the Dishman Hills and Tower Mountain areas of Spokane, Spokane Valley and unincorporated Spokane County.

The organization has a long history of volunteerism and relies upon the financial support of our members. Members are encouraged to get involved with the organization in many ways including by joining one of our guided hikes, participating in volunteer stewardship work days, serving on one of our committees or the board, and by financially contributing to our continued conservation efforts.

The Dishman Hills Conservancy in partnership with Spokane County Parks and Recreation and the Washington Department of Natural Resources is responsible for management and stewardship of the Dishman Hills Natural Area and several other properties along the Dishman Hills.
