Conservation Land Opportunities!

You have several opportunities to financially assist with 2017 conservation acquisitions as seen in this map. DHC successfully nominated the Flying L Ranch - 184 acres that will link from Glenrose to Ponderosa Subdivision in the Spokane Valley - a perfect place for a trailhead. You have an opportunity to assist with acquiring a half mile of the gap between Glenrose and Iller Creek but a $100,000 payment is necessary by May, 2017.
A 120 acres adjoining Big Rock is available and $50,000 is needed as soon as possible to try to permanently protect this wonderful addition.

Your donations have already helped acquire 2700 acres in the Dishman Hills including the Natural Area and Camp Caro; Iller Creek unit and Big Rock; and the Glenrose unit and the Cliffs. Your support is creating a legacy for future generations in protecting the Wild Heart of Spokane.

Contribute, Connect and Conserve

Please join DHC and become an active part of local land conservation work. Members receive our monthly newsletter and are invited to participate in our guided hikes and nature walks throughout the year. Most importantly, members receive the satisfaction of knowing that they are part of creating a legacy of permanently protected conservation land in the heart of the Inland Northwest.

Annual membership runs the course of the calendar year. Members may renew here on this page.

Thank you for your support!

Thanks to the generosity of Spokane artist LR Montgomery and his wife Carole, prints of the "Big Rock" painting will be given to donors of $1000 or more. Donations greater than $2000 will receive prints of both the "Big Rock” and  “Path to Big Rock” paintings. This is a great opportunity to make an investment in local land conservation and brighten your home with beautiful art.  Take advantage of this opportunity today with your tax-deductible donation to the Dishman Hills Conservancy. To receive the “Big Rock” print, donations must total $1000 during the 2016 calendar year or $2000 for both prints.  Artworks measure approximately 5 3/4" x 7 1/2” and are archivally mounted on 11" x 14” acid-free foam-core ready for framing.
