DISHMAN HILLS CONSERVANCY
Songbird walk with Jonathan Isacoff
Come to Stevens Creek Trailhead for an early morning hike and see and hear some birds. Stevens Creek is home to approximately 50 species of breeding birds and exactly 113 species (and counting) have been documented here during all seasons of the year. The local specialties are neotropical migrant breeding songbirds (i.e., little birds that fly very far South for the winter), including Hummingbirds, Flycatchers, Vireos, and Warblers. If the birds are quiet, it's still a fantastic hike!
The hike will be about 2 miles at a leisurely pace. The event takes place at the Stevens Creek Trail Head (9002 S Stevens Creek Rd.) from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 20th.
