Join Rick Severn, DHC Education Chair and Board Member on this leisurely ramble.

Meet at Stevens Creek Parking lot (9102 S Stevens Creek Rd) at 9 am. This loop hike will take you to Big Rock, the Rocks of Sharon, and across the Upper Valley Trail of the Iller Creek Natural area as we explore the effects of geography on two adjoining ecosystems.  

Please be prepared for a variety of trail surfaces on the moderately difficult ramble. Distance approx. 5 miles. Elevation gain 900 ft. approx. Trekking poles and microspikes or Yaktraks may be required. Bring snacks, water and clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather.  A map will be provided.

Hike is free, but registration in required.  

Note: Since winter can bring extreme conditions, trip leaders will decide IF cancellation is warranted and if it is, notify registrants by 6 am the previous morning to the hike. So, check your emails the day prior to the scheduled hike.
