DISHMAN HILLS CONSERVANCY
Ramble to the Glenrose Unit of the Dishman Hills Conservation area.
New Parking area is Open!
After a summer of work, this trailhead is again open with a new parking lot. This ramble goes to the Glenrose Unit of the Dishman Hills. It is a 5.5 mile round trip over sometimes steep terrain. The trail starts at the end of Thierman Road in the Glenrose area and ends at the "Cliffs" in 2.25 miles with a sweeping view of the Spokane Valley . Because of the distance and elevation changes, the ramble is moderately difficult. Pace will be slow. There will be nature and conservation information stops.
Dogs are allowed on leash. No parking pass such as Discover Pass is required.
Bring hiking poles, snacks, water and dress for the weather. Because of the advanced terrain, boots and traction devices would be most appropriate footwear. Microspikes or YakTraks could be useful if icy.
Event is free, but registration is requested
Note: Since winter can bring extreme conditions, trip leaders will decide IF cancellation is warranted and notify registrants of cancellation by 6 am the previous morning to the hike. So, check your emails the day prior to the scheduled hike.
