Songbirds of Stevens Creek with Jon Isacoff

Join Jon Isacoff at the Stevens Creek Trailhead for an early morning walk through the Dishman Hills Conservation Area to learn about birds.  Stevens Creek is home to approximately 50 species of breeding birds and exactly 113 species (and counting) have been documented here during all seasons of the year.  The local specialties are neotropical migrant breeding songbirds (i.e., little birds that fly very far South for the winter), including Hummingbirds, Flycatchers, Vireos, and Warblers. If the birds are quiet, it's still a fantastic hike with views over the Palouse and granite rock outcroppings!

The hike will be about 2 miles at a leisurely pace. We start at the Stevens Creek Trail Head (9002 S Stevens Creek Rd.) at 7:00 a.m. and will return by 10:00 a.m.
