CANCELED: Finding the Lost Ponds Hike

Due to the extreme heat warning for Spokane this weekend this event has been canceled. Please continue checking our events page for more upcoming events!

Join the DHC on a tour of the water features of the Dishman Hills Natural Area - our group will traverse around several loop trails to discover various vernal ponds that provide habitat for local flora and fauna. Watch for birds, deer, salamanders, and more!

This hike will be approximately 3 miles roundtrip with stops at the East Ponds, Nimbus Knob, and the Lost Pond. Please meet at the lower parking lot, located at 625 S Sargent Rd in the Valley. The lot is directly to the right as you turn onto Sargent Rd from Appleway.

Bring hiking poles, a snack, and lots of water as it can be hot this time of year. Wear sturdy shoes suitable for rough trails. Dogs are allowed on leash.
